Georgie has a background in general veterinary practice and works as an epidemiologist at the Royal Veterinary College. She completed an MRes in 2024, which explored the epidemiology of canine haemangiosarcoma and is currently studying for a PhD in canine epidemiology. Her PhD focuses on applying disease burden methods from human studies to estimate canine health and financial disease burdens. This work utilises VetCompass anonymised clinical records where she is also exploring the use of machine learning methods. Georgie enjoys continuing to work as a first-opinion vet throughout her studies.
