Rachel qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2002 and graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Veterinary Nursing in 2005. She developed an interest in nutrition, completing a Certificate in Small Animal Nutrition in 2006. From 2008 to 2020, she lectured in Veterinary Nursing at the Royal Veterinary College, serving as VN Course Director during the latter years. She is now a postgraduate researcher at the University of Glasgow, undertaking a PhD focused on nutrition-related beliefs, decision making, and feeding behaviour. Her work supports the optimisation of pet nutrition, protection of public health, and enhancement of nutrition-related education and communication.
