Sophie Haslam is an MPhil student at the University of Liverpool, where she previously completed an integrated Master's in Microbiology. Her current research focuses on the detection and characterisation of antimicrobial-resistant Gram-negative ESKAPE organisms in commercially available raw and alternative pet diets in the UK. This work explores the role of companion animals and their diets in AMR transmission, contributing to a growing understanding of resistance risks at the human-animal interface.
